“Steel Scorpion” Heavy Bottom Rig

The Steel Scorpion is a double drop rig with the weight forward on the rig, designed to keep your bait on the bottom rather than elevated towards the surface. Like all J&J rigs, it is designed with ultimate strength in mind. A 24" 1.2mm 7x7 350lb steel leader attaches to your main line with a 3/0 T-Swivel and a 3oz pyramid weight. The two arms, also constructed of 1.2mm 7x7, swing freely from the main leader with a thimble in place to prevent binding, and glow-in-the-dark beads to help attract fish to your bait. All components are rated at 120lb plus. This can bring in a big fish, but is also compact and light enough for smaller sport.
